Attorney Profile

Throughout his career, Sean has represented clients that range from members of the Fortune 25 list of largest public companies in the United States to indigent clients in federal criminal proceedings and pro bono intellectual property matters. While an attorney at Skadden Arps in New York, Sean defended public companies in multi-billion dollar federal securities and class action lawsuits, litigated hundred-million-dollar contract and partnership disputes, and was brought into transactional matters to advise on litigation risks in advance of IPOs valued in the tens of billions of dollars. Sean has also successfully argued before the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, a judicial body composed of members selected by the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court and responsible for some of the largest and most complex cases in America.

As a first generation American and first generation college graduate, born of an Afro-Cuban refugee and the grandson of concentration camp escapees who survived the Holocaust, Sean brings a unique perspective to the table. Sean’s competitive spirit, focus, and ability to operate calmly under pressure were honed during his seven-year career as a champion international racecar driver. As a teenager and in his twenties, Sean was a completely self-taught homeschool student while traveling the United States and Canada to compete in the formula racing predecessor of the “Road to Indy” IndyCar championship. In his rookie year, Sean was the undefeated Florida state champion. In his senior year, Sean attended Miami Beach Senior High School, where he picked up competitive debate, developed clear communication skills, and won statewide and national championship debate tournaments.

Sean graduated with honors from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he studied international affairs and served as president of Chabad GW, one of the largest student organizations on campus. Sean went on to graduate from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic and argued a sentencing hearing in a bank robbery case and briefed an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Sean is active in various volunteer organizations. He has served in advisory, board, and pro bono counsel roles with Chabad organizations throughout the United States. These include Chabad Young Professionals, Chabad on Campus International, and the Miami Jewish Legal Society.
